Pointing to Jesus
Travelling together

So many tend to confuse the church of Christ with the various denominations of our day. We would like to point out some distinct differences. We hope and pray you will read the following with an open mind and receptive heart. Weigh each point carefully as you open the New Testament to compare what is stated here. If you find these points to be in accordance with the will of God, please accept them since your salvation depends upon it. (John 12:48)

true salvation

In order to be saved we must respond to God’s offer of grace and mercy. We must believe in God and in Christ Jesus through hearing his gospel:
Matthew 28:19-20 – Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

true worship

Our worship services consist of prayer, communion, giving, congregational singing, and the reading and preaching of God’s word. These services usually last for about an hour.

Prayer – Our time of prayer is when we talk to God, thanking Him for things in our lives and asking for His guidance and help in other areas of life (Matthew 6:9-13).

Congregational Singing – We sing together as a congregation without instruments to praise and glorify God and edify each other (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16).

Preaching / Bible Reading – One of the men of the congregation usually present a message from the Bible (Matthew 24:14). The messages are usually are 20-30 minutes long and focus on spiritual things that encourage or inform us about being a Christian. The speaker will usually offer an invitation for anyone who is not a Christian to make the decision to respond to the good news about Jesus and be baptized (immersed in water) for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38).

A Place to Grow Spiritually

God says we should “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (II Peter 3:18) We believe walking close to Jesus means living a better life. We help each other grow spiritually through joyous and meaningful worship services, numerous small groups in different locations, and various settings for Bible studies and life issues.
